The Automation Federation has identified several key topic areas, relevant to the manufacturing industry as a whole. These issues span all industries and are vital to the future viability of US manufacturing. Currently we are focusing on three key topics:

Government Relations

The Automation Federation is dedicated to becoming the Voice of Automation through an active involvement with governments on all levels. The Federation takes a proactive role in raising issues and concerns to better the automation profession.

Automation Competency Model

The Automation Federation has released the Automation Competency Model, a formal federal document defining the skills and competencies needed in the automation field. The Automation Federation worked with industry experts and representatives from the Department of Labor to develop the model.
