Members of The Automation Federation

The charter members of The Automation Federation are OMAC, WBF, and WINA. ISA is the founding sponsor of The Federation. Organizations interested in more information about membership in The Federation should contact Tim Feldman at tfeldman@automationfederation.org. The Automation Federation Board of Directors has initially established the following classes of member organizations.

Charter Member Organization

  • Non-profit with mission compatible with The Automation Federation mission
  • Publicly supports the mission of The Automation Federation
  • Joins The Automation Federation during 2006
  • Has voting membership on The Automation Federation Board of Directors
  • Pays a royalty to The Automation Federation to support infrastructure
  • Has a legal affiliation with ISA that qualifies the organization to receive financial support from ISA
  • Purchases services from ISA on an as-needed basis at cost
  • OMAC and WBF are Founding Charter Member Organizations

Member Organization

  • Same as Charter but for organizations that join after 2006

Affiliate Member Organization

  • Government organizations that support Automation related initiatives or initiatives that promote the Automation profession
  • Non-profit with mission compatible with The Automation Federation mission
  • Publicly supports the mission of The Automation Federation and agrees to strive to coordinate its work with Member Organizations
  • Has no legal connection to ISA
  • Invited as observer to The Automation Federation Board meetings, but has no voting membership
  • Pays no royalty to The Automation Federation and is not tactically benefited in a direct way by the activities of The Federation
  • Able to purchase services from ISA on an as-needed basis at cost plus

Additional categories of membership will be established to meet the needs of new members with unique requirements. We understand the value of flexibility and strive to provide the value added proposition that our members and affiliates have grown to appreciate and value. If you and your organization want to make a difference in Automation and serve as a catalyst to influence positive change, we encourage you to learn more about becoming a member or affiliate of the Automation Federation.
