A united effort toward common goals

Established in 2006 by the International Society of Automation (ISA), the Automation Federation is an association of member organizations dedicated to the advancement of science and engineering.

By broadening awareness of the value and significance of automation; supporting the ongoing development of automation technologies and applications; and cultivating a workforce needed to capitalize on the benefits of automation, the Automation Federation enables its members to more effectively fulfill their missions.

Among the primary objectives of the Automation Federation are:

  • Improving recognition of the role and importance of automation and automation careers in advancing operational safety, security, profitability, quality and efficiency
  • Supporting the growth and success of advanced manufacturing across the globe
  • Facilitating the expansion and refinement of industry standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Representing collective member interests through active involvement with governments on all levels.
